The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session I get asked all kinds of questions! So I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me! 

Do You Share My Images?

Our number one priority is making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life-changing experience but that also makes it nerve-wracking! Sometimes you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse and aren’t for anyone else’s eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos and it all depends on your personal preferences! That’s why after our clients view their images, they can choose what level of privacy they want for their photos with absolutely no pressure.

Do I Have To Wear Lingerie?

You definitely don’t have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality! There are a BUNCH of outfit ideas other than lacy little things!

You can wear an oversized sweater, just a sheet, or even your significant other’s favorite jersey, etc. There’s no limit!

Do You Have Payment Plans?

We have all of our clients on pre-session payment plans and we offer a few payment options! There is a session fee due to book your session, and then the balance is due 30 days before your session date! If you want more time to be able to pay off your session you can always schedule a few months out and make payments!

Is Hair & Makeup Included?

Hair and makeup are included in all of our boudoir sessions! I think it’s really important for you to feel pampered and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team can help you complete your look. Whether that’s “I just woke up like this” or full-on glam! You can bring any ideas you want for your makeup and we can use it for inspiration! 

Do You Photoshop My Images?

I do edit your images for light, exposure, and color balance. I do NOT however edit anything “out” that is permanent! I think it can be damaging to have a boudoir session done and then edit out parts of yourself that make you who you are! Part of the process of accepting yourself and seeing your beauty also means not photoshopping out parts of yourself you don’t like. If there are parts of yourself that you are learning to love and aren’t thrilled about, that is okay! We are skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best and bring out your shine! 

Where Should I Buy My Outfits?

There are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! There is a long list of places we recommend, including Thistle and Spire, SavageXFenty, Adore Me, Torrid, and Hips and Curves. We also have a 400+ piece client closet with pieces ranging in sizes from XS-6X that you can borrow! This means you can show up to your session with nothing and we will help take care of your wardrobe! 

What Type of Printed Products Do You Offer?

We have scoured the earth for the most beautiful and luxe albums there is to offer, and we offer those. Choose from different, but all stunning material covers, add a stunning diamond image to the front, and your favorite color for your gilded pages. These beautiful albums are hand bound by an all-female team, and are heirloom-style albums that scream, “I AM ART”. We also offer a variety of other gift products and we adore our Metal Print wall art!

Do You Offer Digitals?

Although our primary products are luxury albums, we know you all love to have your images in digital format, so we do offer some digital options. Our most common collections include digital images and our popular “mobile app”!

I Am Freaking Out! How Do I Calm My Nerves?!

Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN’T nervous. The nervousness at the beginning of your shoot makes your moment of “WOW” seeing your photos for the first so much better!

Literally, everyone is nervous at their shoot! I photograph everyday women, not models, so it’s totally normal to feel nervous at your shoot. There is no pre-requisite to getting a boudoir session done- it is for EVERYONE, every body type, every age (over 18 of course!). You will have a great time though and when you see your gorgeous images, it will totally be worth it.

Can I Still Do This If I Don’t Know How To Pose Sexy?

I am NOT expecting you to know what you’re doing at all. I guide you from HEAD to TOE and will coach you on expressions and what to do with your hands and even your feet. I got you. I will even show you how to do a pose by doing the pose myself. All you have to do is show up, get pampered, and have fun!

Should I Arrive Early?

Unlike the doctor’s office- There is no need to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. Our floor stays locked for everyone’s privacy and so we will come to get you from the door promptly at your scheduled time!

Where is The Studio Located?

Our stunning studio is located in Elkridge, MD. Just 6 minutes from BWI!
